Caprial & John's Kitchen: Cooking for Family and Friends was produced by Oregon Public Broadcasting and Caprial and John, Inc. In 26 colorful and dynamic episodes, John and Caprial visit one of the nation’s top ten farmers’ markets to select seasonal fruits and vegetables. They swap trade secrets with fish sellers and chocolate makers, and stop by an organic distillery to sample some world-class pear brandy, Eau-de-Vie, and bring it back to the kitchen to add fire to phenomenal Pork Cutlets with Pear Compote.
Demonstrating that good food shouldn’t have to travel very far to reach the kitchen, the Pences create tantalizing dishes with local products. Their simple and tantalizing recipes can be easily modified with ingredients available in each region of the country.
